Tour details

This classic Shanghai tour is a great chance to see all the aspects of life in Shanghai. Your local expert will guide you through all of the must-see sites and tell you the stories behind each one. After this 8-hour private tour you will have a profound understanding of not just the history but also the culture of Shanghai.

Only one day available in Shanghai and want to make the best out of it? Join this Shanghai tour to explore the city's major attractions! This tour will take you to the most known attractions in Shanghai and will introduce the old city area and the new financial district of Shanghai.

Tour Plan

In the morning your professional tour guide will come to the hotel to pick you up and start your full day adventure. The first stop is The Bund, an international gallery of architecture built in colonial times from the 1920s to 1930s. The Bund was also the first place where the British located their port in Shanghai. The boardwalk gives you a view of both modern China in the east side of the Huangpu river and the old British area on the west side of the river.

After that you will head to Yu Garden, built in the 16th century in the middle of the old town bazaar. These two places provide a striking contrast with one another. Then Nanjing Road will be the next stop and it is the most famous shopping street in China in which you can either have fun of local shopping or go to try some local food for your lunch.

In the afternoon you will go to visit the Jade Buddha Temple and the Lujiazui Financial Centre to have a bird view of the downtown city at the observation deck in SWFC which is 474-meters high. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai.

Anny was fantastic. The tour covered everything in the description and Anny added tons of interesting historical and cultural facts throughout. I would have missed out trying to self guide myself. The car was comfortable and air conditioned and dropped us off and picked us up conveniently at every stop. Highly recommended.
