Enjoy the best of Shanghai in this full day tour, exploring the old and new in the city. If you have a limited amount of time to spend in Shanghai, and you want to make it to all the must-see places, this tour is perfect for you.
You will start the day at one of the city’s largest parks where you can join the dancing and singing groups, practice Tai Chi and enjoy flying a kite with the kids.
From there, continue to visit one of the old neighborhoods that was renovated and turned into a commercial area – Xintiandi. A lot of travel agencies refer to this place as the "Former French Concession" but it is, in fact, only one small neighborhood turned into a stylish commercial area. Perfect for a coffee or ice cream stop.
You will also visit the Urban Planning Center to receive a better “view” of the city in terms of both history and development. You can choose to walk on Nanjing Pedestrian Street – the longest commercial street of Shanghai – all the way to the Bund, or drive there with the car.
After exploring the Bund, you'll visit Yuyuan Gardens and the Old city area bazaar. The gardens were built some 450 years ago and are regarded as one of the treasures of Shanghai. The old city area is mostly renovated today and boasts with shops but it also has the old City God Temple for you to explore.
