An easy morning at your hotel in city of Chengdu before departing for a 1.5 hour journey to the city of Leshan where you will visit the world’s largest stone carved Buddha Statue. The Leshan Buddha.
The UNESCO listed world heritage Leshan Buddha Statue is a 71m tall stone sculpture that was built during the Tang Dynasty (9th century AD) when Buddhism was at its heyday in ancient China. This trip will have an English speaking tour guide aboard with you and will give you plenty of information about the historic significance of the famous Sculpture.
Upon arrival, You will take a 30 minutes boat cruise on Minjiang River to experience the majesties of the Buddha from distance. The boat cruise is the best way to properly appreciate the statue and will be a lot of fun. Here you will have plenty of opportunities to take the perfect picture.
