"Tiger Leaping Gorge" is a channel of the famous Yangtze River that takes us to a beautiful trek along it and overlooks the huge cliffs of "Jade Dragon mountain". The depth of the river below to the top of the mountain is 3,760 meters and is one of the world's deepest channels.
The channel is the first bend of the Yangtze River, and is a huge bend that keeps the river which is the "main artery of China", within the country unlike the other parallel rivers, the Mekong and the Selween that flow to other countries.
You will start the day in the local morning market of Lijiang where you can get lost among the fruits, vegetables, spices, meeting lovely locals. After the visit, drive to the Tibetan temple Zhi-Yun, a charming temple full of prayer flags, prayer wheels and colorful murals of the Tibetan mythology.
From there continue to the Tiger Leaping Gorge, there you will walk for three hours (each way for an hour and a half), an easy walk that goes along the Yangtze River. Reach the deepest point, where you will view the rushing water of the gorge. After that you will drive back to Lijiang and finish the trip.
