On this tour you will first visit the archaeological site of the Neolithic Banpo Village, built more than 6,000 years ago, and learn how the resident matriarchal tribes used to survive in the Neolithic age. Afterwards, you will visit one of the most well-known attractions in all of China: the Emperor’s Terracotta Army. The Terra cotta Warriors are the most significant archaeological find of the 20th century. These life-size warriors made of terracotta clay, are the size of a real army, and were buried alongside their Emperor in a vast underground palace. It was found by chance by a local farmer, digging a well for water in the area. The farmer still sits sometimes at the museum shop, signing his book.
After the visit, enjoy a local lunch and then drive back to your hotel in Xi'an.
